My Constant

From the time I wake until I fall asleep you are always on my mind,

I cannot keep my thoughts at bay because, I daydream of you all the time,

I need your touch , the warmth of your embrace, it sets my mind at ease,

When I look into your eyes it brings me to my knees,

It’s rare to meet someone who one clicks with in every little way,

And when it’s time to part, I fight myself because I simply want to stay,

There with you, I feel we make each other whole,

I know I’m willing to do whatever it takes; I’m willing to pay the toll,

To have the privilege to stand with you and face down life’s many trials,

I want the good, I want the bad if it’s with you I’ll face them with a smile.
