Warmth in the Cold

I keep stealing glances at you as we move through the night,
Your beauty is illuminated by incandescent moonlight,
As we stroll down through a busy winter street,
I marvel at the randomness of how we did meet,
During a warm summer day down by a dock,
To a moment like now while our arms interlock,
How can such closeness happen so fast,
And how could I have lived if that moment had passed,
I would be half of the person you now know me to be,
Because through your existence I can now finally be.
